Insulator Machined PTFE Seals

A: Yes. We manufacture custom machined PTFE seals and insulating components according to customer drawings, dimensions, samples or CAD files. Custom ID, OD, thickness, grooves, holes, profiles and other machining features can be produced according to your requirements.

Please send us your 2D drawing, 3D CAD file or sample, together with the required quantity, and our engineering team can review it for quotation.

A: We can provide different PTFE grades according to the application, including virgin PTFE and selected filled PTFE grades such as glass-filled, carbon-filled, graphite-filled and bronze-filled PTFE.

For applications requiring electrical insulation and excellent chemical resistance, virgin PTFE is commonly considered. Where higher wear resistance, dimensional stability or mechanical performance is required, a suitable filled PTFE grade may be recommended.

A:The achievable tolerance depends on the part size, geometry, PTFE grade, machining process and critical dimensions.

For precision machined PTFE components, tighter tolerances can be achieved on critical features through controlled machining and inspection. Because PTFE has relatively high thermal expansion and can experience dimensional changes, the tolerance requirements should be specified on the drawing.

For quotation, please provide the required tolerances for ID, OD, thickness and other critical dimensions.

A: The applicable temperature and pressure range depends on the PTFE grade, seal design, dimensions, mating components and operating conditions.

PTFE is widely used where chemical resistance, low friction and electrical insulation are required. For demanding sealing applications, the actual working conditions should be reviewed rather than relying on a single maximum temperature or pressure value.

A: We accept prototype orders for as few as 1-10 pieces, with no minimum for production runs.
