PTFE Tube For 1.75mm Filament | Premium Bowden, Hotend & Star-Bore Liners
Stop fighting filament jams, messy retractions, and TPU buckling. Zetai's PTFE Tube for 1.75mm filament is precision-extruded to deliver the ultra-smooth bore and tight inner tolerances your 3D printer demands. From our standard 2mm/2.5mm round-bore liners to our game-changing Star-Bore (fluted) tubing that practically eliminates friction, we have the exact guide your extruder needs. Available in bulk continuous coils for distributors, or custom cut-to-length with deburred ends for OEM factory assembly.

The Game Changer: Star-Bore (Fluted) PTFE Tubing
If you are printing with abrasive carbon-fiber filaments, sticky TPU, or recycled materials with rough surfaces, standard round tubes might still cause drag.
This is where Zetai's Star-Bore (Fluted) PTFE tube changes the rules of the game.
Instead of a standard circular inner hole, the inside of our Star-Bore tube features a multi-point star or fluted channel structure.

01
Drastically Reduced Contact Area
The filament only touches the "points" of the star, reducing the physical contact area by up to 60% compared to a round tube.
02
Near-Zero Friction
Less contact means drastically lower sliding friction. Your extruder motor works less, and the filament glides through even the most complex, tight-radius Bowden routing.
03
The Ultimate TPU Solution
Flexible filaments love to fold and jam when they hit any slight resistance. The star-shaped channel acts like a physical rail, keeping the TPU perfectly centered and completely eliminating the chance of it buckling inside the tube.
04
Eliminates Vacuum Lock & Auto-Channels Debris
Star-bore design eliminates vacuum lock on retraction. Built-in air channels equalize pressure and trap debris to stop buildup.

Product Features
✅ Optimized for 1.75mm Filament: Standard 2mm ID × 4mm OD, 2.5mm ID × 4mm OD, and our premium Star-Bore profiles.
✅ Ultra-Low Friction Bore: Drastically reduces extruder drag, improving retraction response and minimizing stringing and layer shifts.
✅ Star-Bore Anti-Jam Design: (For fluted models) Minimizes filament contact area, the ultimate solution for TPU, flexible, and rough-surface filaments.
✅ Universal Fitting Compatibility: Perfectly sized to snap into standard 4mm OD pneumatic push-fit connectors (PC4-M6, PC4-M10) and Capricorn retaining clips.
✅ Kink-Resistant Flexibility: Bends smoothly through complex printer frames without collapsing the inner bore.
✅ OEM-Ready Supply: Shipped in continuous coils for aftermarket spools, or precisely pre-cut for automated assembly lines.

Applications
Zetai's food-grade PTFE tubing is the premium choice for hot and cold fluid transfer in beverage and food equipment
Bowden Extruder Systems
The ultimate Bowden tube for long-distance setups. Our tight-tolerance 2mm ID tube minimizes the "dead band" during retraction, giving you crisp, clean prints with standard materials like PLA, PETG, and ABS.
Direct Drive Hotend Liners
Acts as a crucial short guide inside the hotend assembly. Our precise 4mm OD ensures a snug fit in the heat break, preventing heat creep and filament melting in the cold zone.
High-Speed & Multi-Material Systems (AMS)
For multi-color setups where filament is pushed and pulled over long distances, our Star-Bore PTFE tube is highly recommended to ensure consistent feeding pressure and prevent material cross-contamination from dust buildup.
OEM 3D Printer Manufacturing
We supply custom-colored, pre-cut, and tightly toleranced 3D printer PTFE liners directly to hardware factories. Send us your CAD drawings, and we'll match your exact assembly requirements.
FAQ
Q: Should I use the standard round 2mm ID, 2.5mm ID, or the Star-Bore tube?
A: For 90% of standard Bowden setups printing PLA/PETG, go with the 2mm ID round tube for the sharpest retractions. If you print a lot of flexible TPU, use the 2.5mm ID. However, if you are printing high-speed, using an AMS (multi-color system), or dealing with very sticky/rough filaments, upgrade to the Star-Bore tube-the reduced friction is a massive upgrade.
Q:Will upgrading to Zetai PTFE tubing completely stop my filament jams?
A: It will eliminate jams caused by high friction and poor tube tolerances. However, if your jams are caused by a worn-out extruder gear, a scratched nozzle, or a poorly seated push-fit fitting, the tube alone won't fix it. Think of our tubing as the foundation of a reliable feeding system.
Q: Can I push this tube all the way down into an all-metal hotend?
A: No. PTFE is perfect for Bowden tubes and "PTFE-lined" hotends. But if you are using an "all-metal" hotend designed for 300°C+ printing, do not insert PTFE into the hot zone. It will degrade and release harmful fumes. Use a proper metal heat break for all-metal setups.
Q: Do your tubes fit standard Capricorn or generic PC4-M6 fittings?
A: Yes. Our 4mm OD is strictly controlled to fit perfectly into standard 4mm pneumatic push-fit fittings, couplers, and blue retaining clips. No forced pushing, no scratching the O-rings, and no leaking gaps.
Q: We are a 3D printer manufacturer. Can you supply custom lengths and the Star-Bore design in bulk?
A: Absolutely. We regularly supply OEM factories with pre-cut, deburred tubes, including the Star-Bore profile for their premium printer lines. Send us your required length, quantity, and specs, and we'll arrange a sample batch for your engineering team to validate on the assembly line.
