Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) has excellent chemical stability and can withstand all strong acids, strong alkalis, and strong oxidants. It does not react with various organic solvents. PTFE has a wide operating temperature range. It can be used for a long time at -180℃ to 250℃ under normal pressure. After being treated at 250℃ for 1000 hours, its mechanical properties change very little. PTFE has a very low coefficient of friction and is a good friction-reducing and self-lubricating material. Its static friction coefficient is less than its dynamic friction coefficient. Therefore, it has the advantages of low starting resistance and smooth operation when used to make bearings. Since PTFE is non-polar, heat-resistant and non-absorbent, it is also an excellent electrical insulation material. It also has excellent aging resistance, non-stickiness and non-flammability.
