PTFE capillary tubes are miniature tubing made primarily of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE, commonly known as Teflon or the "King of Plastics") resin. Their inner diameter is typically less than or equal to 4 mm, and they are named for their resemblance to human capillaries.

 

These tubes are manufactured through extrusion and sintering processes, exhibiting excellent chemical stability and resistance to strong acids, alkalis, and organic solvents. They also possess high-temperature resistance, a low coefficient of friction, anti-stick properties, electrical insulation, and flexibility.
